Episode 145

Aaron and Brent highlight music from two groups hailing from England: one that combine the sounds of synthwave with heavier guitar riffs and the other often cited as one of the earliest and most innovative bands to break into the pop mainstream on a wave of synthesizers and electronic rhythms.

Describing themselves as “a retro cinematic experience”, Aaron looks at three songs from the Peterborough band LeBrock.

Taking their name from science-fiction board game StarForce: Alpha Centauri, Brent highlights three songs from the Sheffield band The Human League.
